Korea Trip Day 4
"Aim and shoot" cubicles found in the male toilet
After we were done with Seoul animation center, we paid a visit to "Hongik University".
Well the place does give us the feel of what we're going to do in the future if we happen to pursue further in our studies as a media student.
Lastly, "Digital Media City" which I realized that the place was almost like our "Singapore Science Center". The place is filled with amazing technology that blew our mind totally. It shows the design of the "futuristic city" in Korea and I'm sure it'll become a new attraction for the tourists.
Day3 in the hotel...
We woke up in the morning and our first destination was the Seoul Animation Centre. It was a good place to start with. We got to see all the cute mannequins and also play some games. It was entertaining and gives us the mood to go on with our day. I manage to get a keychain with my picture on it at just 2000won! I was very excited. Then we headed to our lunch place.
After lunch, we went to the Hongik University. We did a round at the university and get to see some artworks. Some art piece was very detailed and very nice to be looked at. We got to see some unique structures around the school.
Last destination before the shopping was the ‘Dundemon’(I don’t know how to spell it*) it was cool to see the things which was like mostly using the IT things. This was another interesting place as we can get to play some things too.
Day 4 Summary
Today was a great day as always, I amazed by the 3 places we went today, Seoul Animation Centre, Hongik University, and Digital Media City.
The trip to Seoul Animation Centre was delightful, their facilities host many different kinds of animation, their easy to follow tutorial was very useful for us students.
While in our stay in Hongik University, we were shown around their campus, as a young student acted as our guide. The University have beautiful scenery, much like those we seen in movie, along with artistic creations by their students.
The Digital Media City was an example of a futuristic city in our near future. The convenient zebra-crossing, as well as the informative e-board were both outstanding innovative ideas.
Day 4 - Victor Phua
Also, at the Seoul Animation Centre, there is also a massive library of sorts filled with artists, animes, manga and such different kinds of genre based off animations for everybody to peruse at any given time, with regards to animations.
At Sangam Digital Media City is rather insightful and an impressive display of planning and animation towards the future; current target is aiming for a high-technological means by 2015, which is geared towards making lives easier for people.
Seoul: Day 4
Today's agenda was to visit the three following places; the Seoul Animation Center, Hong Ik University and Digital Media City.
The Seoul Animation Center was a rather interesting place. They provided courses on how to do different kinds of animations to both students as well as large scale companies. They work a lot with a youger crowd, and they target younger audiences as well. They have several different forms of interactive and non-interactive animations on display for us to look at and play with as well.
Visiting Hong Ik University was kind of like looking at what we might end up doing in the future as we progress with our studies. The student guide spoke fluent english and explained about and showed us what he did in the school and also what kind of facilities the school had.
The visit to Digital Media City was just amazing. They showed us the different kinds of technologies they had and the different innovative ways of using them. It was, in every sense of the phrase, a city of the future. They had interactive signboards as well as simulators which could manuveur through a visualized digital city through different consoles.
