place of interest we visited... ^^

Namsangol
A small village where all the traditional houses are recreated. Shown different plays and acts as such dances in that area. It portrays their culture.

Gyeongbokgung
Another historical and cultural place which shows the royal palace and their capital. It was then reconstructed ever since Japan strike on their area.

Namsan Tower
High peak tower that has panoramic view of Seoul. Besides, around the tower, they have recreations for people.

Namsan Tower

Seoul Tower is a communication and observation tower located in Namsan Mountain, central Seoul, South Korea. It was built in 1969, and opened to the public in 1980, the tower has been a symbol of Seoul and it measures 236.7 m (777 ft) in height (from the base) and tops out at 479.7 m (1,574 ft) above sea level. Namsangol

In P'il-dong, just to the north of Namsan Park, the Seoul government recreated a small village that resembles the architecture and gardens of the area during the Chosun Dynasty (1392-1910).

Gyeongbokgung

Gyeongbokgung, also known as Gyeongbokgung Palace or Gyeongbok Palace, is a royal palace located in northern Seoul, South Korea. First constructed in 1394 and reconstructed in 1867, it was the main and largest palace of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty.

Junhao Historical assignment.

Namsangol

-It is a small village that resembles the architecture and gardens of the area during the Chosun Dynasty. It is a very nice place as they really bring out the essence of a palace. I supposed that it is all decorated with authentic furniture and decorations from the period. I learn alot from Jimmy the tour guide that this place are for those senior officers who are more high rank. They also had alot of games inside, like spinning the wheel, throwing the darts into the hole and the tops. It was really entertaining learning about the historical culture of Korea.

Gyeongbokgung

-It is a royal palace. It was the main and largest palace of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon Dynasty. I also learnt from Jimmy the tour guide that the king's mother had a higher authority than the king. There is also no chamber or palace for the King's father,as the new king will be crowned king when the old one pass over, thus there is no king's father. They also uses 5 colours to represent them, which are the black, white, red, blue, yellow. We also went to different part of palace inside to view such as the Geunjeongjeon, Gyotaejeon and many more.. It was a fruitful trip as I did a CF commercial there.

Namsan Tower

- It is a communication and observation tower located in Namsan Mountain, central Seoul, South Korea. Viewable from almost anywhere in Seoul, Seoul Tower serves as an excellent landmark. From here, we could see alot of nice places from up high there. I can really see the structure of Korea there. It was nice, but I didnt take any pictures. I realised that Korea is very big, bigger den Singapore. What amazed me is that standing on the tower, you can really see everything.

This is the palace and there were guards at the front gates. It was interesting as the palace was the only place that was painted in a variety of colours at that time.

This is where you can see the beautiful view of part of Seoul. The view is great from the top of the tower and there are some souvenier shops there as well.

Day 4 in Seoul!

Its the last day of our visiting and we went to many places. Firstly, we went to Hongyik University where one of the students brought us around. There was a museum there and they had beautiful art pieces in that museum. The classrooms there were almost the same as our school and it is mostly similar to our classrooms. He also brought us around the whole school grounds and Hongyik University is really filled with artworks by the students.
After that, we went to the Seoul Animation Centre. It was amazing how they could create things on their own and how they were able to develop the technology so much that they use sensors to play games and to create interesting things. One thing that I came across was the picture taking. By just taking one of the character boxes and showing it on the screen, it was very interesting and I hope that I can do something like this in the future.
The last place we went to was the DMC, which is the digital media city. They showed the new millenium city that would be built soon there. After that, they showed us a 3D video on how they are going to create technology so that it would be easier for us to use. Later, we went to the gallery and from there, we could see many new and advanced technology. Although improvements could be made to it, it was still an enjoyable experience.
