Day 3 in Korea

Digital Media City

We went to Digital Media City and it was fun! I didn't expected it to be a whole area, I thought it would be like everything complied into one building but I was wrong. It was told to us that by the year 2015, everything would be completed over there and the future digital city would be built. We went on to this building where by we played a lot of interactive games such as the volume control of a device that can be controlled using wireless control. There was just so much to see in the future of the DMC.

We also went on to Hongik university. The place was filled with many art exhibitions done by the student in the school. I found the structure of the school a lot similar to ours as they used the similar system that we have in RP. We also went to an internal exhibition that was inside of the university. Inside it, there were many artworks of different medium made by the students of the university. From there, I learnt what was known as real art.

Seoul Animation Centre

Claymation setup

We also visited the Seoul Animation center that day. I saw many familiar characters that I had seen before on my tv screen! I felt really lucky as I could visited the place where most of the animations I had seen was produced from. There was this interactive zone where most of us tried on hands on activities. For example, the memory game using touch screen. Although it was a simple game, but it was really fun as we played it as a group. We also learned how claymation scene was being setup and being taken. From the picture above, it shows a demonstration of how it was bring carried out.
